Our Mission:
To develop our students physically, mentally, and spiritually through the art of Karatedo. Our unique training curriculum builds the body for males and females, children and adults.
We are the second-oldest karate school in the Chicagoland area, and have been in business for over 43 years. Mas Oyama's Kyokushin Karate is the style we teach: a very disciplined art that emphasizes fighting, kata, and strong mental and physical conditioning. Japanese terminology is interchanged with English to reinforce tradition. Every sixth class judo, jiujitsu, and grappling are added to our syllabus. Hanshi Gregory T. Johnson, 8th Dan in Kyokushin Karate, is the Founder and Chief Instructor, and taught self-defense tactics at the Chicago Police Academy. Besides teaching karatedo he is a licensed, full time Private Detective.
